Wooden Greenland Paddles
All kayakers have experienced a traditional wide blade euro-style paddle at some point in their kayaking journey. Greenland style paddles look and function a bit differently than their euro cousins. The long thin Greenland blade has less water resistance with each stroke enabling a more efficient, less-tiring, paddling cadence. The Greenland Paddle is a great choice for kayak rolling and sculling aficionados. Plus, they are fun to paddle with and add unique distinction to your kayak outfitting style!
Decorative Paddles
My Greenland paddles can be crafted in smaller sizes as a decoration that can be hung on walls, above doorways, or displayed on a shelf, bookcase, or desk. Or consider hanging a full-size paddle on that open wall in your home!
What a great way to commemorate the kayaker in your life or bring your love of kayaking into your living space! Available in solid or mixed woods.
Norsaq Rolling Paddles
Traditionally, Norsaqs were used to add power to a harpoon throw. Inuit hunters also learned to roll their kayaks with the Norsaq. Nowadays kayakers use these for Greenland rolls for recreational purposes. It is fun and challenging to learn to roll your kayak with a Norsaq hand paddle. One side has a groove down the middle with finger indentations on each edge to aid your grip. Available in solid or mixed woods.
