How to Order
Let's bring your paddle vision to life...
Setting Expectations
I craft Greenland Paddle products as a hobby and not as a business. However there are only so many paddles and wall decorations that I can build for myself. For my paddle-building passion to continue, I am pleased to be able to build Greenland Paddles, Norsaq Rolling Paddles, and Decorative Paddle accessories for you or on behalf of that special someone in your life. Your journey to personalized paddling perfection starts here!
Each item is handcrafted by me in my small shop. I do not carry pre-built inventory on hand. Depending on demand, the time to complete your paddle request may vary. Regardless, I will make every attempt to fulfill your request in a timely fashion.
Terms and Conditions: Once work begins on a custom paddle order, no refunds are available except for workmanship defect. All shipping costs (delivery or return) are the responsibility of the buyer. There are no guarantees against breaking a paddle—you should always carry a spare. There are inherent risks to any kayaking activity. The user of one of my paddles assumes any risks and releases CJW Paddles, and its agents, from any and all liability.
Here is a high-level description of the ordering process...
Step 1 - Pick Your Paddle Product
Visit my Greenland Paddle Products page to learn about the styles of Greenland paddle items I can craft for you. You can review and select the available customization options available to you.
Step 2 - Request Your Paddle Quote
Fill out the product options form completely and submit your request to receive a price quote. I will review your request and, if necessary, will reach out to you to clarify any outstanding questions and wood choices. Once I have all the information I need, I will provide you with a price quote, an expected timeframe, and a shipping estimate for you to review. Note that I am based in NJ and full-size one-piece paddles can be expensive to ship especially long distances like the West coast.
Step 3 - Ready to Order?
After you review my no obligation quote, let me know whether you accept and are ready to submit a deposit payment. Once I receive your deposit, I will start work on your paddle. When your paddle is complete, I will send you photos along with payment instructions for the remaining balance plus additional information about next steps.
Step 4 - Payment
Full payment must be received before your paddle leaves my shop. Payment includes the price of paddle plus any shipping, handling, and insurance costs less any deposit you have paid.
Step 5 - Pickup Your Paddle or Ship Within the US
If you are located within driving distance of Central NJ, we can arrange a local meeting place for paddle pickup. Otherwise, I will provide an estimate for shipping and handling of your paddle within the continental US.
Step 7 - Enjoy Your Paddle!
Step 6 - Review Care & Maintenance
While you await your new paddle purchase to arrive, take a moment to review the Care & Maintenance section to ensure you'll have many years of paddle enjoyment.
